On the 8th May 2012, 27 volunteers from the BNZ 'Closed for Good' project initiative spent a day planting 1800 native plants along the pathway from the Kaituna Quarry car park to the Rail Trail. This project was organised by the Hornby Rotary Club. |

This was held on Saturday, 24 March 2012, a 22km race from Hornby to Lincoln and back.
Many thanks to the organisers who donated the proceeds of this race to the Rail Trail Trust. |

Railtrail merchandise for sale |

Railtrail merchandise is now available at the Little River Craft Station in the Little River township.
The royalties are being used by the Railtrail Trust to complete the Christchurch Little River Railtrail. |
